Quote of the Day

Calvin frequently reminds us that we all have within us a "lust to devise new and strange religions". We tend to seek for what does not exist, and thus fail to find what does exist. Most dangerous of all is our tendency to drag God down to the level of our own minds, and our logic, and to imprison him within our own subjectivity. [Ronald S. Wallace, Calvin, Geneva & the Reformation (Wipf and Stock Publishers, 1998), p. 225]

Justification has to do with repentance from the worship of false gods. Sanctification has to so with repentance from the false worship of the true God.
