Quote of the Day

… life is not only the gift of creation. We are also plunged into history in which sin and death play a major part: suffering and pain, disappointment and loss, catastrophe and evil. In an age of burgeoning knowledge and dazzling technological proficiency it is easy to assume that a little more knowledge and technology will turn the tide and we will soon be getting better. But we haven’t. And we won’t. Historians have provided thorough and irrefutable documentation that he century just lived through (the twentieth) has been the most murderous on record. We need help.
